Walla Walla is also very nice for the fact that you are in the middle of Washington and surrounded by peaceful escapes. You could get to a place that feels like paradise when you live anywhere in Washington State in general. The weather is mild and perfect. As for taxes, you will find that it is decent for a city of this magnitude. You will also be able to find affordable Washington senior housing and living conditions for those who love the big city, but need a break from the chaos.
